Scribble Magazine is a quarterly publication that showcases the best art, creative writing and performances in the northwest region of Greater Manchester. As the circulation and distribution of the magazine increased to a wider audience, there was concern that the younger demographic was going to be lost. Our solution was to give the whole magazine a completely new facial uplift. We kept the folk art vibe, but added vibrant colours and modern typefaces with a quirky but simplified layout to keep the visual heritage of the magazine prominent. The new facelift for Scribble magazine gave it a new design aesthetic, enabling it to appeal to a wider age range of readers.
